  • Assists the Project Manager in the training and mentoring of Junior Designers and Detailers.
  • Maintains detailed records of communications with customers, stakeholders, vendors, and team members using our internal documentation system.
  • Basic understanding of specific design discipline working to minimize gaps in knowledge both in design, basics in fabrication and constructibility.
  • Visually reviews contract drawing plans and own shop drawing plans for defects in design work prior to QAQC handoff. 
  • Assists the Project Manager in the training and mentoring of Junior Designers and Detailers.
  • May assist or supervise in data collection and/or job site walks for field verification.
  • May hold project manager responsibilities on or during some projects; tasks include establishing project scope with the customer, scheduling work, maintaining communication with the customer, attending meetings, implementing a QA/QC plan, and performing job close out processes.
  • Ensure application of design standards in all current platforms (including Revit & Navisworks).
  • Work with Project Managers on assigned design and drafting tasks.
  • Work with Junior Designers to execute design tasks.
  • Prepares electronic drawings and virtual models with accuracy, neatness, and efficiency using Revit.
  • Ability to use Revit, Navisworks and Bluebeam at a consistent and high-level; approaches Project Manager and Leadership with requests on specific training of any areas of skill and experience that are deficient. 
  • Works with Project Managers to construct design & modeling approaches and concepts on assigned projects.
  • Performs modeling, coordinating and conflict resolution process in Revit and Navisworks; anticipates problems and potential conflicts and communicates promptly to the Project Manager; ability to identify and provide recommended solutions. 
  • Performs detailing and annotating process that matches industry standard level of care; prepare fully organized and complete deliverable packages with clear and concise visual layout and textual information; Annotation layouts are clean, symmetrical, consistent and has a completeness in relaying the necessary information to engineers, architects, field construction teams and fabrication shops. 
  • Attends project update meetings with both customers and team members; composure in meetings is maintained with a respectful attitude and by engaging in dialogue with effective communication among attendees and Project Manager.
  • Assists the Project Manager in communication with clients, stakeholders and team members. 
  • Maintains detailed records of communications with customers, stakeholders, vendors, and team members using our internal documentation system.

  • Actively participate in assisting and administering the estimating and project management teams for procuring, organizing and coordinating all initial, ongoing and closeout processes.
  • Operates with a strong sense of urgency in meeting both internal and external deadlines. 
  • Responsible for documenting, coordinating and distributing incoming proposal requests to estimating team; monitors, maintains and distributes estimating sales list on regular basis; communicates upcoming due dates for proposals with estimators.
  • Converts estimates to projects when projects are awarded by client; sends out new project award information to project management and accounting departments.
  • Prepares scope review and assessment meetings with project team, sets up targeted tasks in project management software. 
  • Responsible for creating projects in accounting software with detailed project and estimating information; add all cost codes related to project as directed from scope review.
  • Procures and organizes all necessary purchase orders, Revit and CAD authoring files, project documentation and schedules from clients and vendors.
  • Responsible for processing all contract documents and maintaining procurement documents in an organized and systematic manner for project managers.
  • Responsible in performing a complete and thorough setup of all Revit files, sheet setups, and Navisworks exports based on project scope and needs for project management and design team. 
  • Communicates the required mechanical and plumbing services to database manager; monitors turnaround time and loads services into projects for design team.
  • Oversees the efforts of project required equipment models for project; monitors initial content and fixture placement for projects with designers.
  • Coordinates handoff from modeling team to detailing team; responsible for tracking progress for annotated deliverable sets to project manager.
  • Prepares and distributes close out documentation at the end of all projects.
